Last year, SaVoa announced an Audio Masterclass Discount for SaVoa Members. The course director previously offered a 10% discount off the prior course tuition of $267 USD. Due to positive industry response and recent updates to the 12-module course, tuition recently went up to £277 UK pounds, $556 US dollars, or €438 Euros.

This week SaVoa contacted David Mellor, the course director and developer, regarding the tuition increase and its affect on SaVoa members. Here is his response received today:

Yes the discount is still available. In fact, the price for Savoa members hasn’t been changed since the course was upgraded. Anyone who takes advantage of the offer quickly will get the new improved course at the old price.

SaVoa members who choose to take advantage of the Audio Masterclass special pricing and discount offer in the near future will be able to enroll for the 12-module course for just £114.30 ($240.30). Member response to the offer will undoubtedly affect our ability to negotiate an extension of the discount on behalf of SaVoa members in the future.

The course is developed and taught by U.K. sound engineer David Mellor, who has worked for the Royal Opera House and has been both an engineer and university educator in audio production over the past 25 years. Mr. Mellor has included not only volumes of lessons, tips and techniques, but also numerous sample audio files showcasing recording equipment and mixing and mastering techniques discussed in the separate lessons. In fact, although the course is designed to be completed in 12 weeks, it is difficult to review and digest all the materials provided within that time frame. As such, students are provided access to course materials and downloads for a year.
